Don't forget to bring to the VIC flag (not sure who has it, but it's either of you guys).
I did have the SA flag on my cabin in Mackay, maybe they were trying to infiltrate the VIC army! :eek

Q. I wonder how many ways an SA flag can be desecrated?
:angry-old-man-smiley-emoticon
A. One more than a VIC flag.

but that doesn't take you via the towns you said you wanted to go via such as Yea Whittlesea etc.. as you told Bodo..! that shows the way I had planned 2 weeks or so ago..
Sorry to hear that. I guess I am going to be the lone South Australian representative there.Sorry about that Bodo - If I wasn't taking Julie on the back I'd probably do the ride (albeit coating the inside of the visor like I did on the Byron return ride this year) but when you have another person's life in your hands you want to be at the top of your game, so to speak. On the upside - at least I can't infect anyone on the Harrow ride.
Hi folks
Unfortunately I (& Julie) are a late withdrawal. I seem to have picked up a ripper lurgy which started in the head a couple of days ago and seemed nothing serious but has headed south and turned into a nasty bronchitis, with the Doc suggesting it probably wouldn't be a good idea to go ahead.
I hope every one has a great ride to and from the event and a terrific dinner.
Shiney side up and all that ... Mark

Terry and Dallas are travelling the highways and byways without me today heading towards Harrow. :well
I after sheading more than 10ks in the last month. unfortuneatly have pneumonia and I have procrastinated right up to 4.30 am today. After a night of coughing and coughing some more, waking up aching in places Ive rarely ached before and then sitting with the stinkyiest foulest and runniest diarrhoea :butt, I doubt I would have been able to 'throw my leg over' without fear of a brown tidalwave.. This is my reason for pulling out of a 4day 3night RTE
Sorry to all those whom I would have loved to catch up with.. pneumonia is a nasty sneaky illness that can have severve consequences and I'm really not ready to explore them.. Ride safe everyone and enjoy Harrow o/n , Drink sensibly and enjoy the banter and such.. :fp I shall stay home wrapped in cotton wool and will take the full course of horse tablet sized antibiotic pills with the FIRST' mouthful of food followed by a complete meal,, as per instruction, twice daily, and hopefully I'll be ride ready before the new year.
And now I'll turn off the lap top before any other withdrawals.
See you there, Bodø. We should arrive 3pm or thereabouts. :thumb
The kwaka should clock up 75000 klicks on this trip.
link works for me?
Great riding Bodo, Look forward to seeing your ride report
From Wiki ......
Harrow is a town in the Wimmera region of western Victoria, Australia. The town is located in the Shire of West Wimmera local government area, 391 kilometres north west of the state capital Melbourne (or 411km south east of Adelaide), overlooking the Glenelg River valley. At the 2011 census, Harrow and the surrounding area had a population of 315.
A town originally known as Upper Glenelg was established in the 1840s and is claimed to be the oldest inland town in Victoria. Well how about that!!
A great night was had by all, by my counting (after a few schooners, so might not be accurate) was 16 for dinner in the upstairs dinning room of the Hermitage Hotel, Harrow. Good food (slow for some aye Nigel), cold beers and great company.
The pub was packed to the rafters with the local, our small group and a local lads "buck's party", and some entertainment - Nigel was complaining about bruised retinas.
Some pics:
ST's (and one ring-in) all in a row, getting ready for the group pic.

Mmmmm.......pic links not working, I'll try again later.
I hope somebody will be along soon to post pics of the group photo. I promised Nigel I would photoshop one of him. It was a bit touch 'n' go for a while but he did make it in time for the group pic

I wake up early anyway so no fear there. I was more worried about how I would spend the time between waking up and the group photo time of 0800 hours.
...... I promised Nigel I would photoshop one of him.....
Here you go Nigel:

My mistake, Nigel wasn't MIA, it's that we didn't spot him standing in front of the orange pub wall, to start with.
Was worried that Bodo and John might have slept-in and missed the group pic, not adjusting their clocks to make up for the VIC / SA time difference, and all that. But John assured me that he adjusted his clock as he crossed the border put it forward by 20 years he said.
