I knew that moniker from somewhere- you're on FarRiders with your Kwaka 1000 outfit.
Welcome here. Good move to the ST.  There's a guy on the Gold Coast who specialises in ST1100 sidecars.

can any? one put some more light on this excuse the pun.  >:()..

Hi and welcome from SA,

Missed this post......could have been anything from a blown globe (there's two) or a fuse. Any fault in the ABS would have the warning light on all the time unless the globe/s were removed

In case your not aware

ABS/TCS/CBS

Traction Control (TCS) is switchable on/off via LH switch on fairing filler panel. Orange warning lights should come on at start and go off after system self test. If you switch TCS off then one warning light should stay on...I always leave mine on so I've never tested that.

ABS is self explanatory but should any apart of the system fail you get the red warning lights (on or blinking??) and system reverts back to non-ABS braking. The warning lights stay on at start and go off within a few feet after the self test. If a warning light comes on while riding it is advised to stop, turn off the engine and restart as normal, if the light stays on after that then the system needs to be checked. In eight years I've only had the light come on twice and all has been ok after restarting. The RH switch next to the TCS on/off is there to turn off the ABS warning light should it become annoying

CBS.... Combined Brakes......

foot pedal directly operates centre pot on all three callipers........fairly even braking on it's own
hand brake directly operates outer pots on front two callipers .......better braking on it's own compared the pedal

Also any braking on the front wheel (by hand or foot) also indirectly operates the rear outer calliper pots via a secondary master cylinder above LH front calliper.

Foot and Hand together.....even better braking again......especially when towing

The Honda manual also advises that when replacing pads on the ABS model that you replace all pads at the same time.
