So what did you get for Christmas that is useful to the bike or you on your trips?

My sister gave me this rather awesome mini stainless steel thermos and cups that is going a lot of use on up coming Far Rides and the run to national rally in march.

We have had one of those thermos flasks for four years and it's only been used once in that time. The time of use was a trip from Karratha, WA to visit my sister who lives in Calista (near Kwinana). I'd forgotten we had one until it surfaced a few weeks back as it was still in gear we hadn't unpacked yet.

I updated my phone after four years, well I've paid for it but still awaiting delivery as I missed the pre-christmas delivery deadline. My phone tends to be used more as an MP3 player as I hardly make calls on it. The new phone can also be used as a back up to my dedicated GPS if that fails.

Don't have pic of the phone yet but found one online that will do.

Mr ST2UP, I presume that your half of the bottle was the bottom half and that it was therefore necessary to get through the top half first before you could get to your pressie???  :crackup :rofl :beer :beer

Got nothing for the bike, but I did have time yesterday to tidy up the wiring, stick one of the laminar ears back on properly and finalise shifting the CB aerial to the rear of the bike on the gearsack rack mount.  So one less wire going from the front to the rear of the bike, and now I can use a 6.6db aerial if I want  for longer distance CB use, rather than my everyday 4db that is more compact.  Oh yes, main reason for having the bodywork off was to fit rocker style switches to power the HID headlights and driving lights, rather than the toggle switches I originally used.
