DRIP DRIP DRIP just before Mallacoota,

After an evening ride last night, this morning I put my ST on the centre stand and drip drip drip.I found the problem right side hose . >:() :-(((  :well
 I'll have to pull him apart tonight and dread dread lift off the carbi's and  fix him before friday to do my 1st FarRide to Mallacoota.
  :think1 This will be a learning curve for me,, hopefully I succeed after reading all the relavent posts I could find. I'm goin cut the hose add a pipe and trim of the end thats bugger'd , reconnect to elbow...as a quik fix and if I remember I'll take some pix  :thumbs

its 2.25 am and I'm done 4 now. got the carbs off finally  and the broken hose out. up early to buy a new hose the put him back together. heres some pix.so far.

no corrosion on the elbow

all his bits in my "not really a man cave" garage

I hope I get it back together quik and he runs wivout hassle so I do my first Far Ride.

 just finished the fix,  ready to ride.. after replacing TWO elbows  :fp today got it all together with 1 screwbolt left,  heres a pic of the 2 elbows m the 1 on R is my original   left is the 1ST  trip to Liverpool and south west wreckers then  2nd trip for the other elbow after cracking the 1st 2nd hand  :fp :fp :well

Glad I di it myself  3 times today,, its a bugger putting tank  an air cleaner, and lifting the carbs...no problems   I KNOW HOW  NOW,

Those elbows were prone to cracking though mine were ok when I replaced all the hoses etc earlier this year.

I didn't remove the tank when I did mine as it looked as if I didn't need to.

I have one spare original elbow if anyone needs one. Only 120,000kms or so old, but its sister one did have a crack in it.  I would suggest having two new ones on hand if you are going to keep the bike, and do the elbows and hoses at a major service which needs a bit of bodywork taken off.
