Leaking Fork Seals
Paul:
Hi STérs,
I noticed one of my fork seals was leaking a few weeks ago, so I ordered a set and proceeded to research how to do it my self. A google search showed link to little gadget (video Clip) that you insert between the seal and fork leg, $6 -7 from the US. After watching the video :think1 Idecide that it was easy enough to make out of a piece of straight sided PET soft drink bottle, So I tried it out today and hey presto IT WORKS :hatwave :runyay :runyay :runyay :runyay
Here's a link to the video clip. www.sealmate.net/Fork-Seals-Repair-Tool
Now I've got aset of spare fork seals for when Ireally need them. :thumbs

All good then, so long as you didn't loose too much oil. :beer

I have a few of those little devices from when they were on special and I was getting a few other things. An old trick is using a photo negative to do the same thing, as it is thin enough and strong.
Brock:
Digital negatives dont work but....
:grin :grin

I tried the old 35mm film but found it wrinkled :o up to easily, must of been my over zealous digits :nahnah
