The Australian Postal Service and the US postal service, along with their partner international Carriers UPS (who I'll point out now own TNT Express as well as Qantas and Australia Post Buying Star Track Express) and they all have secret meetings in the attempt price fix the cost of international freight.
Case in point...when the dollar first came on par with the US and everyone started buy cheap products, Because it was cheap and the freight was cheap enough to justify it. These courier moguls decided to start protecting their interests and slowly started increasing the cost of freight, to what you have today...

So now it becomes cheaper to buy a product in Australia at inflated prices. Because if you include the overseas freight it becomes ridiculous to even think about looking elsewhere...

AusPost is upping letter rates from 60¢ to 70¢ because they are losing business to email communications.
A 17% jump in about 5 years, well ahead of inflation.
I received a card that was 14 mm too tall with a 60¢ stamp and a sticker demanding $2.10 punitive fee for not putting on two 60¢ stamps.
AusPost says their parcel post has been subsidising their letter post. They've been making a killing since eBay etc emerged. I didn't notice any discounting going on while they enjoy the boom times (that continue in online shopping).

4) Lick and stick a Stamp to the envelope (now at $0.70 for even the smallest letter)
5) Go out and find a Post Office
6) Find the right post box and stick the envelope in it
7) Wait for an unspecified number of days before the envelope is delivered.

We live in a relatively small town........6 months ago they ceased the parcel delivery contract with a local contractor who delivered Australia post parcels from our local Post Office Monday to Friday here in and around the township.
Now we only have Australia Post parcels delivered on Mon/Wends/Friday by a Australia Post contractor from a near by larger town as the parcels no longer come to our Local Post Office.....and if no one is at home they either take it with them to attempt delivery again in 2 days time if your home OR occasionally if our local Australia Post Office is still open in the afternoon before 5 PM they will drop them there and you go in search of your parcel the next day that you payed to have delivered.
The :cuss :|||| part of this.......it is completed irrelevant if your parcel is EXPRESS PAID etc .....
A parcel that was express paid and posted last Thursday in Newcastle arrived the 350k's up the road to Armidale on the Monday but not in time for the Guyra delivery, they tried again yesterday but we weren't home at 2pm so it was retuned to Armidale.....today is not a delivery day, so I had to drive 90k's this morning to collect the EXPRESS PAID for delivery parcel......then get an email notification after I signed for collection to say that Aust Post has delivered to your address.
So paid $19.50 for express delivery......and a week later had to drive and get it myself.
Now that's customer service :|||| :||||
In all fairness the Local Post Office is just as frustrated at the lack of service....but its beyond their control.

It would be a tax wite-off, because these institutions have a tax charity status, so any donations to the museum and mosque is tax deductible.
This came out when an application was made to establish a mosque on the Gold Coast.
And before anyone claims it, Church offerings are not tax deductible in Australia. There are some tax exemptions for Churches in the USA.

Airframe design doesnt stop a plane going faster. The term is VNE, and its the Velocity Never Exceed.. This means the stresses on the airframe may cause damage or handling problems. In a diving turn with engines at full power, it wouldnt be hard to excedd design speed.
An analogy using bike, would be a scooter that is flat out at 50 ks, could easily exceed that if you ride it flat out down Cunninghams Gap...
Very clever showing Military Aircraft with sensor pods, all of wich were forward of the wing root. The "Pod" alluded to in the pictures seemed to be more of a conformal affair fitted along the right fuselage along the wing root. However such an item cant be fitted there, as it would cover the landing gear wells. Below is a pic of a 767, and if you zoom in, you can see that there is indeed a flared fuseleage. With the right paint job, lighting and camera angle, may cast a sinister shadow.

They put them up there to evade the lights from cities and to get above smog and haze. There are no 17 kilometre high mountains to approach the edge of the atmosphere.

I thought they did the trip at night!If they went at night the cameras would have frozen and we could not be able to see them step onto the moon.

I suspect they went to the moon, but the camera equipment of the time was not good enough to take and send pictures back to earth so NASA had to redo it in a studio for broadcasting. ;-*

There are three ways heat can transfer and only two are possible on the Moon. The first is radiation, both directly from the Sun and from the Sun’s reflection on the surface. The astronauts’ spacesuits were designed to reflect almost 90% of the light that reaches it, so very little heat would have transferred to the astronauts.
The second is by conduction from the direct contact their feet had with the surface. This is also an ineffective process as regolith on the lunar surface doesn’t conduct heat well and the astronauts’ boots were insulated, slowing down conduction even further. This shows that even though huge temperature variations occur on the Moon, lunar astronauts were never actually exposed to them.

There are many things around us that scream the Earth is flat and still - NOT a spinning ball that can hold water, and rotates at 1,000mph and orbits at 66,000mph whilst doing a lap of a humungus galaxy at 480,000mph as well as flying away from a central point of the original big bang!
That is so much harder to believe. I don't know which is true - but there has never been a successful scientific experiment EVER showing the attracting force of gravity! (For instance - marbles on the floor next to a bowling ball, and they simply roll to the bowling ball). You can see an apple fall from the tree - but that is to do with bouyancy and density.
It has been a lot of fun seeing all the views and vids of people's opinions on this. Jury is still out though.

There are references to "poles" and the "equator", yet neither of these things can exist on a flat earth, so I'm still a bit muddled in my thinking.
But I'm convinced by the sun beam coming directly across the ocean. There is no way it could do that over a curved surface!
I'm also not quite able to see how someone with the skills to compose those graphics can't fully remove my niggling doubts that the earth isn't quite flat.

Don't you find it impossible that at noon in summer, you are facing the sun, and as noon only comes around every 360* rotation of this ball - we cannot possibly be facing the sun at noon when on the other side of our orbit around the sun - IMPOSSIBLE! In the diagram at (A), we are facing the sun i.e. it is overhead at noon. It can only be 12 o'clock (noon) again after a 360* rotation of this ball right? Look at (B) 3 months later and (C) 6 mths later. How do you explain to still be facing the sun at (C) at 12 o'clock? Presumably after 12 months we will be facing the sun at 12 o'clock again - but only then.
I'm interested to know why this is wrong. Even more interested to watch a proper video explaining it SCIENTIFICALLY. :think1

I am a good old fashioned Psych Nurse and I worked around the Far north NSW coast for 10 years which as I am sure you can understand is the tin foil capital of the known universe!
A friend and I where travelling south to the big smoke and decided to go the back way which meant through Nimbin. We stopped for supplies ( that means booze for the spare driver to keep him lubricated and therefore useless by the time i get tired and needed him to drive of course!).

The air control radar couldn't detect the incoming panes - air control radar doesn't pick up a reflection of it's outgoing signal, it sets off a transponder on the plane which sends a signal detailing what aircraft it is and high high it is and how fast it's going, all the hijacked aircraft had their transponders turned off. And if the planes flew somewhere else and the military flew drones into the towers and the Pentagon, where are the original planes, passengers and aircrew? What about all the phone calls from the passengers an board the hijacked planes? Oh, I dispair for the future of humanity.

Pilots of small aircraft adjust their Directional Gyros for precession every 15 minutes. More sophisticated aircraft use electronic feedback loop correction and accelerometers.

If it has its own oxygen, from the floor the propulsion would have something to act against, halfway up, depending on its size, it wont.

The floor isn't necessary for the acceleration skywards. It's the result of a reaction engendering an opposite reaction.
"Sky rockets in space" can accelerate in a different direction because of that simple law of dynamics.

The initial thrust against floor level will aid the initial acceleration.
Try tying a skyrocket to a string from a tree and light it. The initial acceleration is greatly subdued.

Presumably if the answer is "No - because there is no atmosphere present from which to provide lift" THEN the same ought to be true for a rocket's thrust not being able to push upon anything in the vacuum of space to cause a reaction in inertial force and provide acceleration.
Equally, it would be hard to see how the Orbiter and LEM could have been decelerated to orbiting/landing speeds from Moon approach velocity (and the LEM accelerate after lift off from the lunar surface to rendezvous with Collins again - orbiting at around 3,500 mph). Side note: NO BLAST CRATER under any of the LEMs!
