While I was at a speech course this week, I happened to meet a person who works in a cafe in Moora.
Woodstock Takeaway Cafe
97 Gardiner St
Moora
It could be a RTE or an overnighter, as the camp ground/ pub are cheap, so they say.
Just an idea.

These are good for me first week ends home
Overnighter sounds good
6/7 april
27/28 april
18/19 may
8/9 june
29/30 june
-
An overnighter sounds good to me and all dates are ok. :wht11
-
I'm up for it. Glen's dates are far enough out that I shouldn't have trouble with the social secretary.
-
May and June dates are best for me as April is getting busy. :wht11

I started this thread before Turtles BBQ and the Lunch thread for Mumballup so maybe I shall leave it open to discussion at those.

Nope - you don't get out of it that easy.... you dates are a bit later... go for it.
-
Just thinking it is easier to come up with a suitable date when there are a few together. From Gavos and my dates above I would suggest either 18/19 May or 8/9 June. I would lean towards 8/9 June given two other events before then.
Also bounce a few ideas around for where to.
-
8/9 june wintery camp out :runyay might get to use my swag this time !
-
I am open to all suggestions, the only dampener for me will be if the family decide to organise something.
-
Brian,
Just get a big felt tip pen and write it up on the calendar 8/9 June.
-
DONE!!!
-
Sounds good to me also :clap

Just looking at Malcolm's suggestion of Moora.
Caravan park with grassed camping areas, cabins for old farts like me, 200 kms direct from Perth but lots of options different routes there and back. Wrong direction for some members south of Perth but good for Winston 66.

Noel,
An interesting thought but we would lose Gavo and I think it is now in ink on some calendars. Maybe FarRiders could use it as a warm up.
-
I was planning to do Yuna also and back to work on the Sunday

Malcolm is away in Mandurah ATM
I'm pretty sure I'll be doing Yuna almost impossible to get 2 weekends off in a row for me tho

I have just booked a cabin at the Caravan Park on the 8th for Theresa and me.
Cabins are booked through the Shire Office on 9651 0000.
Also spoke to Tracy at the Caravan park about camping, at this stage all camping spots are available.
Tracy's number is 040 9511 400 or the Shire Office will transfer you to her.

Noel,
Are your work weekends both Saturday and Sunday or do you finish early enough on a Saturday to be able to join us?
-
Usually every 2nd Sat only but the 13 / 14 we have another Sat Sun Sausage sizzle type open weekend.
Just seems that every time there is a ride organised I'm working, even the Nat Rally is on same time as the Caravan show next year again.
Got no hope of getting that time off, I will be going to Yuna FarRide so will not get 2 weekends off in a row, Oh well thats life I'll just ride alone I spose (if I get time) :crazy
