Sabie's correct.

Most peoples jackets are way too small, hence a lot of small jackets, & NO oversized jackets.

Only way that will work is if the "bigger"jackets all got handed down the way to the "smaller"people, then the big guys wouldn't have a jacket, that would also give some new comers in the future the chance to buy one, but only if there small or smaller, and the big guys might need to reorder.

we haven't received them in the west yet, but by the sounds of it its $170 down the tubes
my only recourse will be if it doesnt fit being a 5xl (I think its been so long) I should be able to flog it off

Wait and see, but not holding my breath

Think I ordered a 4xl stu, so if mine is too small yours might fit me, so keep that in mind mate.
I'm not home from Scotland till end of January, so by then everyone should have found out what the fits like.

As I posted earlier:

at this stage I have not received my jacket, which I ordered a 2XL, I was the crash test dummy of the Trial Jacket which was a Large.

I am waiting for my jacket to arrive, and I will try it on, and take it from there.

as I will have the prototype vs the real deal.

as we have people we are really happy with their fit and others a small fit.

so I am waiting for the jacket and I will look from there

On advise from Mark at Zen could those with Jacket sizing issues PLEASE hold onto their Jackets at the moment and NOT trade, swap , sell or have a ritual sacrifice of their Jacket just yet. We are waiting on Streak to get his Jacket to confirm a evidence based base line on the Jacket we were sent by the Manufacture with THEIR sizing chart......

We should have some firm evidence by the middle of next week......stay tuned campers  :thumbsup

Its just so hard to fathom that an international unit of measurement like the centimeter could result in so much chaos
but it only seems to happen in the textile industry
buy you clothes from target and lowes on tagged size olny and find out for yourself
in engineering a centimeter equals a centimeter
in clothing im sure they have metric mixed up with spans. cubits and widgets
or at least that seems to be the case when i put my Warrick Cappa shorts on  :grin

Shoes are a bit the same with all the different sizes, but even a size like 8 is not the same as another 8. I think in women's clothes they just make up as low a number as they can to keep the client happier. But you would think that chest, arm, neck and waist measurement should be the same all over.  But unlike Americans, I do not know what my inside leg measurement is  :rofl

Sizing is so difficult, as you all know I work in the clothing industry with Workwear & corporate wear and polo's, the hardest part for us is this.

I can take a size Extra Large Work Shirt from Hard Yakka, King Gee, DNC, Stubbies, DNC, & JB's Wear, and try them on, and each one will fit me differently, so the Large, XL, 2XL is really null and void as there is no industry standard to sizing anywhere in the world, it comes down to measurements, which as all of you read and heard from me many times that your measurements are paramount for the custom jacket.

I am now waiting for my Jacket to turn up, as I am trying to be patient but I seriously can't wait to line it up against the Trial Jacket to compare the sizing and measurements.....

Waiting.....Patiently....Waiting

The trial one fitted me just fine so I will see how the final one compares.  I have XXL in the Adven jacket, but that allows for a lot more layers underneath - very snug when a padded flannel shirt is underneath, in fact too hot after a while - well once you get out of -10c weather into warm 5c plus weather.

Yes Streak I would say mine is 2 sizes to small and the same with Lesleys one.
The 2xl 1 i got of you still fits although a tad tight but the 3xl is a no go

so how does one measure a jacket to see what size it is?
my "XL"?  measures 59.5cm/ 23 1/2" measured across under the arms with everything done up, flat on the floor
my child bride who is a dress maker with one look said that's not going to fit you

I am in the same boat.  Ordered a XXL, one size bigger that recommended and it wont even do up.  Looks like a medium.  Being the biggest OzStoc in Tassie there is no swapping.  I will extend my patience for a while longer and see what transpires.  I appreciate the huge effort so far, the jacket looks great.  Will stop now.

It is going to take a couple of days to work a solution for this, as we are working with an overseas manufacturer, we are well on the way to a positive resolution, we are just working on the quickest and most efficient way of making sure this is fixed.

We had not planned on this as OzSTOC and Zen worked very hard on everyone doing their sizing, for something to go wrong at the other end.

Thank you everyone for your patience, I promise that I have aged about 20 years, and am considering taking up drinking, smoking, and shares in Panadol!
