Ladies & Gents,
I think this is pretty much self-explanatory, if not send me a PM.
There has been some previous informal discussion re. the destination (eg. Lakes Entrance), but this may be a little too far for anyone who just wants to attend an RTE for lunch.
So, Cowes is my current preferred destination. Plenty of accommodation options within walking distance to main street cafés and restaurants, over a broad price range of prices.

I'll keep bumping this thread, to keep it in mind.
Mmmmm, so far .....
- At least two who will be at Mackay have responded - I expect more.
- At least three interested in a day ride - hopefully more.
- At one indicated interest in an overnighter day ride - that's Helen & me.
- At least one indicated "other" but did not explain - I'm guessing that'll be Big Gaz.
Rex & Debbie, and Marcus have said may be, but - well there's seven weeks plus to go.
Seeing as we have both day-trippers and overnighters, this will be late lunch at a café (probably in the main street), and an evening meal at a nice restaurant (also probably in the main street).
Late lunch - probably meet around 1:00pm.
Evening meal - around 7:00pm.
I'll do some Googling to find some a suitable lunch venue. If anyone has a recommendation, post details here.
Evening venue - we'll find something nice during our post lunch pub-crawl, err - walk.
Accommodation will be a book your own arrangement. We'll be staying at the Waves Apartments, stayed there before, not cheap, but it is nice and an easy walk to the main street.

Yeah other is me , just bad timing for us ATM , costing a fortune to get my 15 yr old to Mount Hotham for a school skiing trip over the holidaysin 2 weeks and the yamie showing up this week and my fetish for new riding gear .After i get the lovely up to speed will will venture over to appreciate your hospitality .
