Fully optioned up but can't see if it has CC or not but on road costs will be extra and looks like ex NSW by the look of the plate.

Are they joking? Yes it's a nice bike and yes the K's are low. But I doubt it even has the electric screen and the paint, although shiny, does seem to have some sun fading, and it is 17 years old. I reckon $4500 would be on the money. Anyone else feel like wading into this? :think1

:blu13 AGREED, LOOKS NICE BUT MY 2004 BLUE HAS DONE 230,000K BUT I LIKE TO RIDE🤔😁 :blu13left

.......... 17yo, way to expensive from my perspective. But in the end, it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay, it just wont be me, even at $4,500. Just my opinion.

Wow....... I think sometimes we tend to sh1tcan,,, the bikes we ride. See what else you will get for the $. We all know how good the ST is , and then go crook if there is one available with low low k`s. and say its too much? WTF? Bike I got from Norm , has 210000 k on it it and rides a gem. Its an 03 , just come back from a 600K RTE ,round trip without fault. No, the screen doesnt move , but it didn`t on the 11 either. Didn`t stop it being a good bike.
Venting thats all .... Stay safe

Our 04 ABS with 71,000 k on it at time of purchase was priced at $7,000 before it was knocked down to $5000 because the owner wanted it gone. Consignment sale through a dealer but If I take into account the air fair cost from Adelaide to Perth, fuel, two nights accommodation to bring her home then add the on road costs to get in SA registration there wasn't much of that $2000 price drop left.
Electric screen on mine hardly gets moved more than an inch and it's not something I'd miss but I'd miss the digital display even though some of it's function aren't essential.

Mine was a private sale...
I paid $7500 for my 2005 ST with 31,000k's on the clock.
Mind you, it did come with a rwc, lambswool seat cover, Honda top box, led headlight globes, bike cover, Pannier bag liners, heated grips, handlebar risers, manual cruise/throttle lock, power socket, ram ball mount for a gps & 2 keys...
I thought it was a pretty fair price... ++

I think I'm with Nigel. We're getting complacent about how good our STs are. I for one can't find an equivalent bike to the ST1300 at these prices. I can't see the fading paint, but when they're red I get a bit unfocused. 6 months of rego is pretty nice.

Agreed. My Blue BeaST is my pride and joy. At 230,000ks first major problem is not an issue for me.

And here was me wondering how long this thread would run before Bill would jump in and start bemoaning his lack of garage space :grin
-
The point here was the extraordinary asking price for a very much standard bike. The quality of the st1300 design and manufacture deserves applause, but everything has a fair and reasonable price and this appears to exceed that.

Did I mention I'd buy it if I could store it? :p

Point taken. I get blinded by the quality of the ST1300 and overlook what else can be bought for the money. There are brand new bikes for less than $1000 more if you're not fussy.

:blu13left I purchased my 1st BRAND NEW 2004 Blue BeaST for $25,000.00 :eek My 2nd 2004 Blue BeaST for $5000.00 BOTH gave me long times of enjoyment, even now after 230,000k and a dead alternator I STILL LOVE THE ST's. Will buy another as soon as $$ allow. Don't want any of the UGLY new designs. JMO. ST's RULE. :grin :thumbsup :thumbs :blu13left

:blu13 My 2004 Blue BeaST has only 30,000k's :wink1 :wink1 IF you don't count the 200,000k the speedo don't show anymore :wink1 :wink1 Just saying :blu13left
