Title: FarRide west 27
Post by: Wombat on April 08, 2015, 12:52:55 PM
Anybody planning for the FarRide West 27 to Kookynie?

My basic plan is north to Mount Magnet, east to Leinster then south for lunch at Kookynie.  :hatwave May carry on for a SS1600 or home via Corrigin and Brookton for a SS2000 or whatever they call it now with a camp out of Boorabbin.  :grin Depends on the size of the lunch of course.  >:()

Cheers

Onya, Pezzz and Wombat. I kept an eye on your Spot at times throughout the day and evening.

The first Cert is always the best!  :thumbsup

Cheers . Hats off to Bill though for all his planning (although maybe stopping for fuel in Menzies would have been good for him :fp ...).

Just a following up statement on this ride.  :grin My fuel from empty, really really empty to full was 26.98l so if I had the extra litre that is supposed to be in there  :|||| I could have nearly made it to Coolgardie as that is downhill as well and I was pointing in the right direction.  :think1

Oh and great ride Pezzz and luckily we didn't have any UFO's or bombers overhead to spot in the dark  :eek
Maybe sell the idea to the military for night recons just in case  :phone

You should have filled to just about over flowing, and you would have been fine. Most I have put in is 27.5 L...

I put in 27.59L at Kalgoorlie. Looks like I was running on vapours. But that was full to the very top.
