Title: FarRide North #2 - 13 June

Blue Owl and I will be doing our first FarRide this year (they thought ahead and it doesn't clash with Hidden Valley V8s like it did last year).  Planning on a quick trip down to Pine Creek and back on the Saturday morning, back in time for check in.  Then after lunch we'll do either a Triangle ride (Jabiru, Pine Creek and back to Darwin) or just down to Katherine and back.  It will depend on the condition of the Arnhem Hwy. I'm doing a lunch trip out there this weekend to check the road.  Katherine is much more tempting with 130km zone most of the way, as opposed to Arnhem Hwy at 110 with heaps of terrorists...oops, tourists....

There are more tourists on their way, judging by the caravans and RVs I passed on the inland highways on the way north, but a bloke in St George said that numbers are way down this year which is a worry for all the towns still suffering from drought years.

My plan this year should have been eungella, keep on going to do FRnorth, then hidden valley races. Instead I am just bringing rainy weather to Queensland  :|||| yet again. At least it is warmer rain....
