Your Experience: Theresa and I stayed a couple of nights and loved it. There are some interesting local spots to visit which we did at the suggestion of the hosts. Allow a day for return trip to Lake Pedder and Gordon Dam.

Your Experience:   Stayed in the cabins and camped, both good experiences.  Short walk to pub and shops, general store at entrance.   Bakery has the BEST sea scallop pies in Tassie.   Stanley is a well positioned for two or three nights and used as a base for a couple slow one day tours in the region.

Your Experience:  Licenced hotel, basic B&B deal, clean sheets, shared facilities, plenty of hot water.  Great Sunday evening roast, cold beers.

Your Experience:  Nice, old, quaint B&B, clean rooms, en suite or shared facilities, plenty of hot water.  Get you own breakfast (cereal, toast, tea, coffee, etc.) plus bacon & eggs, etc, cooked by the owner.  Off-street parking (if you're quick).  Long walk to Salamanca Markets and restaurants and the SQUIRE'S BOUNTY (at least six James Squires brews on tap).
