Can't remember what forum it was on but some time ago there was a post about overseas Call Centres.
Apparently if you are not happy with the service etc that you get from an overseas centre you can ask to, and get to, speak with someone in Australia.
As someone said in this post, by doing this (politely) every time, it helps keep Australians in jobs.
If I'm re-hashing something that was on this forum, I apologise in advance (I had a look for it but couldn't find it).
