If he is trying to test the existance of gravity, he could have saved a lot of time. simply climb up to the roof of the house, and jump. If gravity exists he will fall, and probably break a bone or two. If gravity doesnt exist, he will, as Tim Minchin put it.."silently float the f@*k away".
The vid would be more entertaining too...

Nice try Laurie - but you have described the effects of densities. He will fall as he is denser than the air. As a test... answer why clouds aren't pulled to the earth as a cause of gravity. They conform to the density model. How can a helium balloon rise up into the sky against the awesome might of supposed gravity that holds the oceans and you and I to the planet?      :eek

And while we are at it.....

If the alleged force of gravity was the overruling force... how can these cocktails be possible?

There should be a sludge at the bottom of the glass!

And why, when you swim in the ocean, can you defeat the AWESOME pull of the Earth's gravity and float? You should be pulled the the sea bed immediately! Think about it.     :think1

Gravity is apparently so awesome - it can even hold the MOON in orbit! Crikey!

But you can beat it by paddling your arms!    :think1

Definitely DENSITY is the acting force in these circumstances. Now throw your text books in the bin!      :rofl

Did you know that engines dont push or pull planes through the air (or rockets) is all done by noise . Lots of noise under the tail of a rocket causes it to rise and fly. When you turn off the noise, the rocket coasts...

Is your new job with NASA by chance? You missed out on some extremely well presented points my friend. Kind of like turning off the moon landing footage when they were still on approach.    8)

I wouldn't do that and I used to operate the projector in high school.

I debunked his no images of Earth from Space -  obvious he didn't research enough. https://youtu.be/UGPuEDyAsU8

Ahhh Diesel.....      For a little while thought that your move to a "so called" lower lattitude had cooled your overstimulated brain, but it's good to have you back on form again.   :grin

Question: Can you see the moon in America and Australia at the same time if you live on a spinning ball?

Question: Can you see the moon in America and Australia at the same time if you live on a spinning ball?

I think you'll find the moon's rotation of the earth is in step with the earth's spin.

Now... how do people who believe in gravity explain this video. Do you not agree that the awesome pulling power of gravity that holds the oceans to the planet and even the moon in orbit would be able to crush this plane easily and bind it to the ground? How in the name of toasted cheese sandwiches can a butterfly beat such an awesome... yet unmeasurable force? Watch in amazement this video of unbelievable scientific anomaly!! ...

More fun....

Cartographers studied and concluded that the US state of Kansas was indeed flatter than a pancake in the sense of with to height ratio. This was scientifically determined... read about it here.... http://mentalfloss.com/article/58976/kansas-really-flatter-pancake

Given that on a sphere (Earth) that measures around 24,901 miles at the equator, Kansas (which is 400 miles wide) has a curvature hump (or drop-off) around that sphere of over 106,000 feet!

Yet scientists verified this! NOW do you believe the Earth is FLAT?!!!     :rofl
