Hi all...can someone tell me where the indicator flasher can is located on an ST11100 please?

I had this up in a previous topic top and on Photobucket but the text wasn't to clear so I did another one.
You'll need to remove the RH side case and seat before you can remove the RH panel. I still have the original indicator relay on mine and I did check it out when I had issues with mine.

Thanks Alan..wonderful photo! Turns out this was another dumb newbie question as I haven't ridden the bike and I couldn't work out why the left hand indicator wouldn't stay on..duh...it has automatic cancelling and the handlebars were pointing slightly to the right when sitting on the centre stand. I
So it now means all is well for the roadworthy asap...

P.S....shhhhI did have a sneaky ride around our court to test the indicators...all in the name of science...and..well...WOW...
GEE, wait till I get it out of second gear!
(I didnt find it that heavy backing out of the workshop, bloody smooth engine and clutch...just... wow...but puting it back on the centre stand by myself proved beyond me and I didnt want to overbalance and drop it so it can stay on the side stand for now :H

Same here.
What does happen is that the indicator switch returns to centre but the relevant indicator light is still working. Push the switch in to stop them working.

wow...but puting it back on the centre stand by myself proved beyond me and I didnt want to overbalance and drop it so it can stay on the side stand for now :H
Mine only goes on the centre stand when I need to remove one of the wheels.

Hmmm...ok I am probably wrong then...what appears to happen is that if the handle bars are not centre or slightly left, the left indicator doesn't seem to keep flashing...it looks like a quirk on my bike then...will investigate further but as long as they work for the roadworthy then I can sort it out later...thanks all...

Gday Ace, if you make yourself a little ramp and run your wheel up onto it its easier to put the bike on the centreSTand ;-* thats about the only way I can do it. Only needs to lift the rear about 5cm :thumb

There is a technique for the centre stand.
1. Hold the left hand rail with the right hand. (The ST1300 has a special fold out lever for this)
2. Hold the left handle bar in the left hand.
3. With your body facing the front of the bike, use the right foot/heel to bring the centre stand down to the ground.
4. Gently moved the bike left and right until you can feel both feet on the centre stand touching the ground at the same time.
5. Stand on the Centre stand bar/lever with all your weight.
(If necessary you can try and lift the bike at the same time by the grab handle for extra force)
6. The bike will rock back onto the centre stand.
I was shown this technique at the bike shop, and my 150 cm tall wife, could get her 250 cc Suzuki Burghman on its degree stand using the technique.

I have been putting a 300mm piece of 50x50 steel tubing over the centre stand lever for extra leverage. It works a treat on the 1300, much easier on the hernia repair.
