The biggest problem with these things is getting the software and maps. I had a look at the IGO site, but it doesnt give any pricing. It does look promising.

The place Alan posted about has got some intresting gear on it.

There's a GPS (not motorcycle but you could always get one of those covers) with Australian maps going for $104.

Which GPS Dave, there are squillions of them.  One thing to be careful of is the GPS Software, a lot of these companies use cloned software and maps that are not able tobe updated..

I'd be much more inclined to go for an Android one as the map software is available.

This one works on our 10.1 galaxy tab and Samsung 580 phone. Not sure if it's free or not but hasn't cost us anything yet.

I'd like the Peaklife one but map software is an issue. I have a Mio Moov GPS but not sure if that software would work either. With that in mind in might be better in the long term to go for a more bike specific GPS like, Strike, Zumo or Tom Tom

For me there has not been any issue with software or maps for Peaklife.
 
I am currently running Igo Primo 2 with the current 2012 maps from Whereis.  Been using this GPS on some very long journeys and it does all I need it to. My current screen on the GPS shows the normal stuff but also allows for two lots of statistics as I ride... the the total distance, estimated time etc., of the total ride plan and the same information for my next waypoint all on the one screen, very beneficial for my rides.

Igo Primo runs on Win Ce (which is what Peaklife has) there are versions of the software for Iphone, Ipad, and Android so should run on Galaxy phones and tablets as well.
