I have a "Glory Red" (aka "Candy Apple") and needed paint.  An auto paint shop here in Brisbane was able to supply it.  Bad news is it is a three pack job!!  They supplied it in three pressure pack cans.  Believe me, it's difficult to get anywhere new the original quality.  The ST1100 red is probably a one pack job, and may be able to be mixed up in small quantities.

So the short answer is, try an automotive paint supplier.  Get the Honda Color number from under the seat and they'll be able to match it.

You might have to go into Tamworth or Narrabri, but you could ask the smash repair shop in Coona.

Metallics can only be sprayed, the more coats you spray darkens the colour on some of the transperant colours. The only way to do the job to perfection is a respray.
We found some bike parts used coloured primers to create a cleaner look via dyes and light refraction.
There are so many variants in the world of colour

Honda uses some trick like that for their Glory Red.  When I tried it, it looks more like the dark red.  It's very hard to get an even coverege before you realise there are too many coats and it's too dark.    :'(

And don't go messing with "Biggles".  Read my books- you'll see it can be an unsettling experience to rile me!   :crazy

The Honda colours (other than the police white) are multi layers and hard to match. Thats why they look so good :)

This might sound like a dumb question, but is police white different from other whites?
Also, does anyone have any idea what the average cost is of a respray for our bikes?

There are at least 10 different whites in the last list of Honda colours I have.  You could probably tell if you had them next to each other.  Any paint mixing place should be able to look up the code and tell you just how different they are ingredients wise.

Police white used to be a blue tone white but I think most are whatever white the oem provides
Any specialised refinisher will be able to help
