Title: Clutch fluid leak
Post by: Paul on September 14, 2016, 03:21:49 PM
Hi guys,

After not using my ST1300 for nearly a year due to an illness, I felt well enough to take the bike for a spin, got it out of the garage, warmed it up, got all dressed up and sat on the bike, pulled the clutch lever in and ---- :cuss nothing no clutch pressure. Any way I'm not fit enough to fix it myself any more so i'm wondering if anybody knows of an mobile mechanic of good repute in the north west of Sydney. I live between Windsor  and Pitt Town.  :blu13

Thanks in advance, Paul

PS - Once its fixed I will be selling it, if any one is interested let me know.  :'(

Even if there is a puddle of fluid on the garage floor, and none left in the master cylinder. :-[

I have a similar problem with my bike, with the clutch fluid level gradually sinking. I initially thought it was leaking onto the garage floor but that turned out to be a faulty seal on the main oil drain plug. so I replaced the clutch fluid as well as I could but it still gradually leaks away to somewhere :).

You may need a slave cylinder kit, to replace the seals.
