To boldly go where everyone has been.
For me it started at 5.16 Friday morning, in Armadale.
I caught up with STray and the Turtle at Southern Cross, having endured low cloud for most of the trip so far. At least it cleaned my visor and bike.

Off to Norseman then Balladonia.
I got there around 15.00. The people to get there were, STray, Turtle,Yorkie, Survey Bill and myself.
It was interesting to see so many bikes going past.

At 5.00 STray and I departed for the Border, leaving the rest to sleep in. Turtle decided to call it quits due to the flu.
Caiguna at 7.07. Eucla at 12.54.

Caiguna 15.32.
Then came the decision. Do I stop or carry on. I choose the later.
I got to Norseman to fuel at 19.19. However at 17.40 I had an encounter of a furry kind.

From Norseman it was through to Southern Cross, it was around 23.00. I was having issues with concentration at this stage, so it was an asphalt carport for a sleep. I managed to warm up, being cocooned in my sleeping bag for a few hours.
Up again and off to Armadale. Low cloud was my friend again in the Kellerberrin/ Northam area.
The last fuel docket was at 5.57. Get home a hot shower and sleep.
Total for the weekend 2946km. Using 154.64 liters.
The last leg that I did, starting at Caiguna, in the morning at 7.07, to home was 1842km. So that is a very Saddle Sore 1600.

Good to see that you all made it back. Great ride Turtle for going so far and still crook.
Malcolm the bike still looks okay.

Not everyone is riding to join the 2roo club! So I hope is only a small presentation.

Malcolm!, I checked your ROO this morning, it was a babe, how could you take pride in the demise of such a young animal still years from the prime of it's life????????
Re all getting home, Bill was still asleep when I left at 5.50am, I haven't heard from him yet, he did say he may overnight somewhere.

I had a great ride with some great people, my only issue was a 4x4 just out of Meriden who was going to overtake regardless of the fact I was going the other way, drastic evasive action on my part, he didn't give a stuff.
On a lighter note, I overtook an oversize load, around 6 mts, at the base of a hill, the escort asked if it was clear over the other side, when I replied yes he told the truckie behind him to go around, would love to have seen the faces on the drivers of the cans, double lines going uphill.

I just got in today at 2.50pm.  Missed the rain until Wagga Wagga, then it rained with wind all the way back to Canberra.  And I got a few hours of fog from Border Village nearly through to Nundroo - even the truckies on the CB were commenting on how thick it was and hanging around.

I have various pictures I will post up and provide a link to some more general photos.

Thanks for sharing all :hatwave
It’s good to hear that “Roo Killer 2” survived the “Australian animals trying to kill people” encounter without major issues :eek

It sounds like everyone that made it had a great time, one of these years I might even join in :think1 :think1 :runyay

Cheers

Philster snuck in, kept quiet and left before I could get a photo of him. At least I got a picture of the current and soon to be roo killers!
