Well, this RTE hasn't gone as planned.

Departed yesterday around 10:00am, got as far as the Hume Freeway, turned around a headed home.  Suffering from a bad case of man flu.  Helen reckons is a bad reaction to a COVIC booster on Friday, and she's probably correct.

Whatever, it means that I won't be at Balranald anytime this weekend.  Just as well the dinner is booked ...

Emailed the Balranald District Ex-Services Memorial Club this PM, booked dinner for 16 to 18.  Received confirmation from Jules that we are booked in the dinning room.

Would like to do a Silo Art Trail tour, probably over two or three nights, probably in the tin top.  It's on the bucket list.

Oh, but it was.  I was booked at the Royal Mail Hotel at Wycheproof last last.  Had planned to catch-up with an old mate from secondary school days, just another excuse for another ride.

I'm glad we changed the venue from the Shamrock to the RSL.  Great food, Guinness and most of all great company.

Just had a call 9:40pm Saturday asking if I had a booking.  Explained to lady re. difficulties I (and others) had with calls and emails for our accommodation and meals, that eventually most of us went elsewhere.

I booked the Shamrock early when the dinner was planned for here. Found communication difficult trying to confirm the booking but the accommodation was good and great value $92 a night. Had chinese at the Shamrock Friday night, again good value and very nice. Location excellent with a short walk across the road to a cafe that served a nice breakfast and opens at 6 am.
Also just a short walk to the RSL and not far from the caravan park.

Having missed the Mansfield Rally great to catch up will everybody.
All in all a great weekend, hopefully be back next year with Theresa.

Heading back to Victor Harbor today for a couple of days and then head home Wednesday.

Perhaps someone should suggest Balranald as an annual event.
