Perhaps you could try this business in Adelaide and see what they have?   http://www.japanesemotorcycles.com.au/ (http://www.japanesemotorcycles.com.au/)

Thanks Pete, will ring in the morning although the parts I need are not available new or second hand anywhere on ebay, gumtree etc, if I am unable to get them I may have to scrap the project although I am already into it for around $2.5k and it was a freebie basket case.

G,day

What parts were you chasing for your Gold Wing?.

I have a mate who has a couple. He tossed the motor and replaced it with a VW unit and then upgraded it to a 4.4.litre V8 Leyland P76 motor

Regards

John

A friend involved with the Goldwing club suggested wingworks: http://www.wingworks.com.au/index.php (http://www.wingworks.com.au/index.php)

Thanks guys, I have 3 motors, parts needed are various frame parts, Wingworks only do the restore and won't sell parts and the Donnybrook is a later model, some parts will fit but not all changes were made after 77

My aim is to have it ready for the York Motorcycle festival, 22 April 2017, if it happens well and good, if not there is always 2018

I vaguely remember seeing one of these just after they came out. Hard to believe it's the humble beginning of a GL1800.

Nice work.
