Title: New Member (Another Kiwi...)

New ST1300 rider-as of this week.
Just traded in my 02 Transalp as it was time for a change. Loved the Tranny (put 50K km on it), but also loving the ST. Riding in winter conditions here on a faired bike kind of reminds me of my CB900 which was my only mode of transport in Scotland in '04-'05. Love the ST1300 engine heat 'problem'!
Anyhow, joining here to pick up tips and tricks as I learn about the ST. Also enjoy reading about different touring routes as it's only a matter of time before a biking trip to Oz occurs. (Last travelled properly there as a hitchhiking backpacker in '92).
So, hello again-look forward to learning from the experts!

The ST is a great tourer and there are plenty of long distance tourers on the forum. For you, the first port of call should be to search for the threads on heated grips. :thumb
