I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

May have been Poppy Dave's but he sold it years ago. His bike had MCL tip over bars. I may have to go and have a look.

Judging by the gouge on the L tip-over bar it skidded down the road on its left side a fair way.  The bar will need a bit of work to look respectable.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Could be Poppy Daves bike, he had pan Euro stickers on it. Hope it wasnt Tricky Micks, that was a great bike..  Daves was great as well, but not used much..

If we had the chassi number, it "Might" be possible to find out..

From Poppy Dave:-
Hi Glen,

Yeah I'm going well thanks.

I sold the bike to one of the guys from Blue Knights. It's the SECOND time he's crashed it. The first I knew of it  was when he arrived at a BK meeting with bandages on his arm and leg. He was riding behind another white 1300, owned by another Blue Knight, when he ran into the rear of the first bike as they stopped in a Rest Area.

I was expecting this bad news as it's the third or fourth bike he's written off.

I don't understand why he continues to ride bikes, he's bloody hopeless.

After all the care and attention I put into the bike I was furious.

I've got a Suzuki Boulevard c50 800 now. I'm not keen on Cruisers really but I've been having problems throwing leg over taller bikes so it was a choice between a Cruiser or no more riding, no contest!

I know how Poppy dave feels as after having both hips replaced I had to make the same choice and sell my 1100 and move to a cruiser which didn't really worry me as I have had cruisers in the past and enjoyed them and like Dave I'm not ready to give up my helmet hair just yet.
