Time to say Goodbye...
« on: May 25, 2022, 01:06:52 PM »
Well, today I said goodbye to my second ST...  :'(

We advertised it on Facebook Market Place on Monday night and within an hour we'd had a response.
Shaun & his lovely wife Serena came to check it out yesterday and to cut a long story short, a deal was struck.

They picked the bike up not long ago so here's hoping they have many years of happy riding!

Oh, and they both expressed interest in OzSTOC so I think we'll have a new member or 2 very soon and we'll likely be seeing them at some RTE's in the future.  :runyay

Good skills.  One down, one (trailer) to go.
Cheers,  Williamson (AKA Michael)

Cheers Michael!
The trailer is ready to go, all I need to do is decide on a price and then advertise it...  :thumbs

How long is your folding gazebo and tent, Michael?
I reckon the inside measurement of the Ali-Lite is roughly 1500mm in length...  :think1

I'll check.  The dimensions will be important, but so may be the entry angle, so a trial entry may be needed.   This may need a visit on my ST with trailer and items on board.  Time will be my current enemy.

No worries, but don't leave it too long though as we were going to list it on Marketplace this weekend but we'll hold off doing it until the following weekend...

Well, my little Ali-Lite has gone to a new owner...
After a lot of mucking around and being mucked around I dropped off the Ali-Lite on Saturday night.  :runyay

The new owner is apparently a woman in Geelong but I've worked through a friend of hers (as she was off overseas during the week).
He lives in Ferntree Gully...
He's a tradie and had no way to pick the trailer up so, as my stepdaughter lives in Rowville I offered to deliver it as we were paying her a visit on Saturday.

Anyhow, long story short we finally caught up with the bloke late on Saturday night after being stuffed around with changing drop off times.

Next time I won't be quite so eager to offer delivery...lol...
Oh well, at least we got full price for it so I guess we're still in front compared to if the buyer had haggled and we had ended up dropping the sale price...  :thumbs

It looks like my trailer was made for carting the Ali-Lite...it fitted in perfectly!

Two good looking trailers in one photo!
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
