Electrical Help needed
« on: July 30, 2012, 01:43:14 PM »
OK Guys here is a questions for all you mechanically minded folks, I have a 2004 ST13, and am having a problem with the indicators.
they don't come on straight away in this cold weather, it is almost like they need time to warm up, I have spoken to the local dealer and got an answer of "geez thats a new one" they did look into it but could not give me a reason.

any thoughts. :rd13

Carefully undo the screws that hold the left cluster together, and separate the halves. Nothing will fall out. Give the indicator switch a good spray of RP7 or similar ( other switches wont hurt either). Put back to gether and all should be good.

Its amazing how much crud builds up in there...

When did you see the Honda dealer in Darwin that's their answer for everything up here, I asked how much to replace the fork springs and after much head and crutch scratching came back with " suppose its not much different to a dirt bike so somewhere between 2-6hrs" I did explain there was a slight speed difference, needless to say I did it myself :cuss :cuss
