Flapping councils take forever to get anything done.

Since the time I got my Dog 11 months ago, I've been lobbying my council to put in an off-lead dog park in town. I've spent the last 11 months sending them proposals, quotes for fencing, talking to other councils who do have them in place, having meeting with Rangers and mayor etc basically doing their foot work for them.

Last night we had a working group meeting and they told us that it's all gone through once they source funding, will be all steam ahead....

Probably still another 6 months away, but hey, at least I have confirmation it's going to happen

Looks like it could be one of two similar crossings (that I remember) on that road. When Derek and I crossed them on the way to Toowoomba back in March, there was a few centimetres of water over them, and they were a bit slippery.

Nearly resulted in a crash, I wouldn't call it an Accident Blackspot site, but it was nearly an Accident Brownspot situation.

As much as I like Pizza Hut and with the closest store being 110 km away my pizza would be cold by the time I got home. Maybe pizza is on the menu when we go to Pirie next week; makes a change from either KFC, Macca's or Hungry Jacks.

We buy flat Turkish bread and make our own toppings over tomato paste. Into a real hot oven and you have the best pizza you could want. If not, work on the toppings...

I make my own pizza as well but I use the frozen pizza bases instead.

Saw the doc today after have some ultra sound tests (prostrate, thyroid and kidneys) done just over a week ago. Blood taken for prostrate test and I have to see a urologist in a months time re small kidney stones. Nothing urgent; more about prevention than cure.

Off to see the Urologist tomorrow morning. Early start as the bike goes in for fork seals as well and need to be in Port Augusta before 9:30am so 8am departure from home.

Fixed our washing machine after months of getting an error on the display. New water valve fixed it. Used to take forever to do a 20 minute wash cycle as it would time out when filling. Cost of repair $50 and some lost brain cells trying to figure out how to get the valve out after I got to it.

I don't usually see this in the skies above home; maybe one or two planes at a time but not three.

Two flights went East/West (or West/East) and the third plane which I saw was heading north (ex Melbourne ???) crossing the other two and making a "not parallel to" maths symbol in the sky.
