Impressive bit of kit. Would be great in high fire areas to clear fire breaks. Selecting the right trees to remove rather than all of them.

This is how Biggles would do it.
Firstly, the division operation. Three divided by one third. When dividing by a fraction, you can invert and multiply. Three divided by one third is equivalent to three multiplied by three over one = 9
Then either subtract or add as the precedence is the same.
9 - 9 + 1 becomes (9 - 9) + 1 = 0 + 1 = 1
Or
add up all the positive numbers and subtract the sum of all the negative numbers.
9 + 1 = 10 minus the only negative number 9 = 1

The way that I looked at it ...

9-3 =6

6 divided by 1/3rd =18 (3 thirds of each number =1, multiply 6x3 = 18)

+1 =19

which is wrong!

Another way of looking at it.

9 minus (3 divided by 1/3 =1) =8 ... plus 1 = 9

I think?

Correct.

Lionel didn't fall for the mistake I made which was to see to the ÷ as a ×. My excuse was I was tired.

What Lionel said.
The "rule of operator sequence is BODMAS", (Brackets, Of, Division, Multiplication, Addition then Subtraction).
So I'd agree 3÷1/3 = 9, but then the Addition of 1 makes that 10 and that subtracted from 9 leaves us in negative territory at -1.
However, the "AS" (Addition and Subtraction) order is over-ridden by the "Left to Right" priority, therefore it reads as
9-9+1= 1

Without brackets to assign priority, I've done it in individual steps from left to right, exactly as the problem is written.
9-3÷1/3+1=

9-3 = 6
6 divided by 1/3 (0.333333) = 18 (do it on your calculator if you get a different answer)
18 +1 = 19

So 19 is my answer, but if my simple logic is wrong, I might refer this problem to my brother-in-law who is a Uni maths lecturer, for his opinion.

It's not a simple left-to-right sequence because the "multiply/divide" action has priority.

I didn't put how I did in as that might have given others the way to do it.

9-3÷1/3+1=

Under the BODMAS rule 3÷1/3 is done first which = 9

we get 9 - 9 + 1 =

cancel out like terms so 9 - 9 = 0

leaving 0 + 1 making the answer 1

It was decided that we'd go for a ride to the Bundaleer forest near Jamestown. We arrived to see the picnic area overtaken with KTM bikes; not forget various cars and trailers well. We came home again and left the kids to play in the mud with their trail or is it trial bikes?

Thats one of mine, meet Honey. She is a rescued dog, spent 5 years pumping out puppies. She is a sweety, but thick as, due to no mental stimulation while in a kennel.
