We take vans through Welshpool all the time some will knock them back for silly things just coz they can

New Bike, Car Van dealers in SA can do registration from their site and includes used vehicles as well. They even have number plates on hand so they don't need to fo to the rego office to pick up a plate.
Yeah all our new caravans are inspected on site by our own licensed people, they do have spot checks tho so all has to be done correctly. We still have to go into the licence centre for payments & plates tho & all expired, 2nd hand & interstate rego's must go over the pits still

Brock,
I'm curious. How does a 4WD engine get full of sand?

Surely it's not impossible to clean a carbie.  Alternatively, a wrecker would have one for reasonable bucks.

A vacuum cleaner go the sand out of the carbie, but not out of the cylinders. They had a very nasty grating grinding noise coming out,,, :well :well

WD40 sprayed liberally should fix that...

Hypo 80/90 would work as well, but I would need a 200 litre drum in the tray with a constant dleivery just to keep the compression up :grin :grin

Question re tyres/rims

Are you going tubeless or is that a pourous alloy rim that dictates it to be a tubetype tyre required ?

They have a tube, dont think a tubeless valve has room to fit.

Gee you guys are pushy....

My son is going to order the metal through his work, and will be able to cut it to size on the guillotine. I will just have to pick up the cut bits and glue them together. Just need money now.

Just  trying to get it finished for you before summer time. It is good that your son can cut the sheets. Glue it together with sikaflex. It holds buses and trucks together.

Its still just the chassis leaning against the wall, must get around to making the box. Trips to Thailand uses up spare money and time.

I keep thinking we need a trailer when touring, but we have just packed for nearly 2 weeks on the road (motels) for the both of us, using the Topbox, panniers and a small petrol tank bag, and that includes carrying all the boy fix my bike stuff.  :popcorn
