RED 2003 ST1300 up for grabs
« on: October 23, 2014, 09:48:04 AM »
I see Gatey is even more determined to sell his ST13.  He's got it advertised on the DRA site.
He's asking $9K but he's open to offers.  The bike is located out near Bingara, NSW.

==========================================
Used but hardly. Flash red one too.
03, 82,000km
New tyres, fresh oils, LED's and floods.

Custom Auxiliary Fuel tank

Some minor marks on the top box only. The rest is as a ten year old bike looks that's been looked after.
Runs like all ST's
Selling because I want to move it on for another toy.
If it doesn't move then no mind either.
$9000
If ya recon $9000 is too much then tell me and I'll think about it or ???.
Rego NSW due in Oct2014.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

A good way to get into distance riding with most of the work done.

Hang on a week and he'll have to register it for at least another 6 months and the price will prolly be the same.
Seriously, the aux tank is worth a grand and the lights aren't cheap.  And it's been set up by a guy who knows what he's doing.  It's a bit of an over-kill for someone not into long distances, but perfect for someone who wants to upgrade their ST11 and do the big trips.

Pix are here, in the context of the aux tank build.
You'll be very impressed by the design and build of the tank.

Anyone who has seen Lionel's tank on the FJR will know how well designed and made the tank is.

Here's a link to all the pix.  Disregard the black box in the first one- it was an experimental design.

16 litres in the aux, therefore 45 litres on board.

That's a tad ambitious.  More like 850 kays.

Thanks for the bump along Biggles and finding the pics too.

Yes the bike is ready to go LDR if your thinking along those lines.

Regos paid for another six months and its got 93,777km now.

I do all my own service work and its washed regularly inside and out. Panels off only a month or so back for a detailed wash....in my rainwater too.

New tyres both ends about 1,400 km old.

I would head off on a lap of the paddock tomorrow I'm that confident with this bike.

45ltr at 115kmh on the GPS will return 870km most days. It has managed 924km down in Victoriastananni and I still had change.

Tanks worth $1,750.00 and is removable so you can still take your pillion when your not LDR. 10 minutes to convert.

Aux Lights $750 and the stock is upgraded too.
