What prompted the "turned down" mod?

Modifications are:

Satin Black (blends better with the switch block)

Turn down in front of horn (to aid your finger towards to the horn button)

Some people have preferred the "original" stopper as they have been using it as a thumb rest.
At my age " getting lucky" is remembering what I came in the room for ;)
