Ooshie Challenge. Recover it and move it challenge
« on: November 19, 2020, 03:32:04 PM »
Ok.
This was started on the Facebook page but thought it needed an easier to follow format.
The general idea is go play a sort of tag.
I have placed a storm Trooper ooshie at the location on the image.
I have posted more photos on the club face book page as it's easier there.
The idea is for a member to go get it and preferably when you get there and have it,  post up you have it and are moving it.
This will save others from heading out to find nothing.
Take it and place it in a new location,  take photos showing where to find it and post up on this thread and maybe in the face book page the images and info for the next member to go get it and move it.
No time limits and can be moved anywhere in the country.
Maybe do a relay and pass it from member to member to get it to the final destination.
Doesn't have to be done in secret, involve the club to arrange meet ups for a relay batten race like ride. Take photos along the way and post up when you stop for a break.

I am slowly getting my self more Honda's, up to 5 now.
Also ride GTR1400, Hayabusa & 2 scooters to mix it up.

I am saddened by the non R rated nature of this game title.
Sicman and Diesel will also be amused at the ease of removal and transferal of said items for entirely different logistical reasons.

As this game was first germinated on the clubs FB site, let me post Growly's idea to give you the gist of what is going on :

Hi all.
I thought it may be a bit of fun to start a game of ... not really hide and go seek as i am going to show you where to go.
I have placed a Oshie Storm Trooper in the location shown in the photos just outside of West Wyalong on the Goldfields Way.
Someone's turn to go get it and move it to another location and place up where to find it and someone else to get it and move it and see where it travels to.
Note : you may need to take a screw driver, i squeezed that little sucker in there GOOOD.

How you transport it is up to you.
Please give it a wash  :butt

Count yourself lucky that Sicman no longer resides in West Wyalong and this game wasn't started 12 months ago. That inanimate object could well have been the genetic patient zero transfer device of our current predicament.

Shouldn't this be in the games subforum?   :Stirpot

I know this because my question game thread got moved there.  Sadly few people here understood the concept of the game.

This should really be in Members health under the sub forum of medical procedures/avoiding border inspections and why do government departments cheap out on the supply of rubber gloves and lube.

Good in theory, not so much in practise though, just too many opportunites for eff-ups.

It reminds me of geocaching, a mate was into this in a big, big way, but one of the geocaching forum members wronged him BIG (that started off as nothing but snow-balled into a big issue and he got banned from the forum), he inflicted revenge by going around finding geocaches and removing them, permanently.

If I get the idea of this challenge, some smart alec (other than me) could eff this up in a right, royal way.

Having said, give it a go, I'm happy to be proved wrong.

It works fine 99% of the time on the FarRiders' forum with the FarTreasure.
The difference would be the fact it has limited exposure to the public and/or "lurkers" who get their kicks being dills.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
