I mate of mine Des aka 'Wingman' (guess what he rides) will leave at 1am tomorrow for Albury Hay then Mildura.
I'll make a decision here at whether to push on and attempt the SS2000 with Des or turn for home back to Pakenham.

If all is good we'll head for Broken Hill then on for Peterborough. This will be the second chance to pull out having completed the SS1600.

If still good I'll push on to Glendambo finishing around midnight.

Fuel stops and breaks all planned, diet prep and proper rest leading to this point... should be a great trip.

Goodluck with that.

If you choose to go continue on from Peterborough then take care at Horrocks Pass  between Wilmington and Port Augusta.
Road works in process due to shoulder widening. Just advising as it should be near completion. Speed limit reduced to 80kph and some sections were down to 40kph last week when I went through. Keep an eye out for gravel which wasn't to bad but could change on a daily basis.

Thanks Alan but the jobs done!

1663 k's in 19 hours
I decided to let Des keep running to his schedule and I made my way back home from Mildura to Pakenham.

1600 was enough for me considering doing it to a SS2000 schedule.
I don't have any farkles like heated grip or a throtle lock. Not even a AirHawk (She who must be obeyed won't let me use it).

Ride report to come when I find the energy...
Cop Ya!

Hi Kev,
Thanks for the pic. He's on his way back to the big island tonight,

I'm reposting his updates on the Ulysses Shearwaters branch site here because the FarRiders post are in a private section.

I'm President of this Branch now and all (as always) OZSToc are most welcome to join in the fun.
Saturdays at Tooradin's Pelican Cafe is the easiest way to say hi!  :hatwave
