Sunday 1st October - The Old Barn Sedan

Going through my video footage of my trip to last weekend's Ride To Eat along dirty roads from Frayville through to Sedan and cross referencing my movements with google maps (I wasn't 100% sure where I went) an icon for The Old Barn popped up on a nearby road.  Wondering what that was all about google it and learned they have an open mike on the first sunday of every month.  I thought it would be something different so contacted the people and got this response:

"the Old Barn is a live music public venue. Our next event is on October 1st. If you like our Face book page https://www.facebook.com/theOldBarnSedan/  you will  see our events advertised. We have an open mic on the first Sunday of each month March to December. We have a feature band each event and performers book in to play. We usually have over 100 guests. Doors open at 11am, and we go through to around 8 pm. Meals and Bar available..



Anyway, I plan to go to the next one and am throwing an invitation to anyone who would like to join me.  I don't know what to expect.  An open mike can be a lottery, their page suggests light food so not 100% sure on that either.  Entry is free but you have to book, which I plan to do on saturday.  I'm looking to go for lunch.  I doubt I'll stay until 8:00pm but who knows.

Being somewhat out your way and a sunday I thought you might be a chance.  It got my interest so I shall let you know my thoughts after the trip.

I've been there, it's a great venue and you can camp - well the event we went to you could camp so it'd pay to contact and find out if it's ok. I hope to get there BUT we're heading off to do Googs track and the Gawler Ranges tomorrow returning Saturday 30 Sept. My attendance very much relies on SWMBO as she is busy Sunday and may have jobs for me

One of their facebook posts on this said there is camping available noting it is a long weekend and a good opportunity for an overnight stay.  My camping days are over but will inquire about other accommodation when I book.

Unfortunately, my long weekend is taken up with the SA state championships in ISSF pistol shooting, but I will be using the bike and trailer to get to and from.

Home safely.  A few pros and cons but I'd like to go to this place again.
