More than 100 bikes turn up just for a drink and meal then head home in the morning
And you get to see the Pudding that has travelled the roads since the 70's
IanB:
google tells me it's only 2981 kms away.
would like to go but will have to plan daily distances better than I have in the past.
Anyone interested in going to the black tie dinner at Mungalla in March.
On farRiders site. Fund raiser for something.
Brock:
Its only 30 hrs to get there, and may be 200 litres of fuel

Hi,
To give an idea of the SA section to WA border I put in my usual fuel stops from Port Augusta to the border. I've had a few trips to Karratha and Perth towing the trailer at a more leisurely pace of around 90 to 100kph. If you coming from QLD then Broken Hill is probably the way you'll come. From there to Peterborough it's just under 300kms and fuel would be needed to get to Port Augusta.

Hope that helps a little.

Not the last bit that is the bother it's the beginning.
Just sent an email out to dirranandi to find out what the roads are like.
Don't want to do the run along the usual route ( sorta bin there dun that) so may turn off at St George see him then down through lightning ridge and across to bourke and down.
only a couple a kms differerence.
