The phrase of the week is "bolus of flatulence".

Mr Flannery had neglected to remember that he had attended a long business lunch at an Indian restaurant on Brick Lane that day, at which he had consumed a dozen onion Bajees, eight Poppadom, six Samosas, and an extra large beef Vindaloo with garlic naan, all washed down with 8 pints of Guinness beer. The resulting trapped wind, which he released within a 6 inch proximity of Mrs Flannery's face, came in at around 6 litres gas of 95% methane by volume.

How do you forget consuming that much food & booze ?

Makes me look like a lightweight in comparison  o:)

It's a spoof on a satirical "news" site.

But don't let me spoil it for you!    :-(((

Do you get much of your news there, Pete?

6 litres of gas? ... aww, c'mon now, not possible! Visualise how much gas that is, (two x 3 litre milk bottles?)... and it far exceeds the volume of human output!
The body generally produces only about half a litre per day, which is released in about 14 emissions per day.
Not much volume per fart, is there?

As Biggles has said, it's a fake, but pretty funny anyway.   :grin

See here  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MythBusters_%282006_season%29#Facts_About_Flatulence   for some brief Mythbusters info on the subject.   :fp

It's the quality not the quantity that makes all the difference  :eek

I just took one look at your avatar and let the conclusion work out itself.
