I had a fantastic time (except for the ride home which I'll explain) a big thank you to my riding mates for the weekend, Totgas, Tipsy, IanB and youngster, great company, great conversation and heaps of fun.
A big thank you to Totgas (Adrian) for your coordination and representation for our group as the organisers kept throwing a few curly's at us.
Now, for the trip home.
As I hve a son living in Coomera my plan was to pop in for a visit on my way home. So I thought I fill up at the BP just off the off ramp. As I was entering the servo which is a single lane, a young idiot in a little blue car passed me from behind at a great rate of speed missing me by millimetres. He then pulled up at the bowser at a screech of brakes hopped at laughing etc.
I pulled up in the same lane (only vacant pump) but at the back pump, took off my helmet and refuelled the bike. I then went up to pay and as I passed him I spoke to him and said "mate take it a little easier you almost knocked me back there" he then rushed up to me grabbed me by the front of the jacket and pushed me back yelling at me who did I think I was, calling "C" and so forth spitting in my face. He then threw me to the ground where I landed on the concrete on my back as he did this he yelled you don't know who your dealing with old man. I threw a few back about how tough he was picking on a man twice his age.
When I went in to pay his girlfriend was in paying and about half a dozen people had her build up telling her that was uncalled for ... (You reckon?) as I walked back to the bike I noticed he had changed driver with his mate. I got on my bike and headed for my Sons place a few blocks away.
I can't believe how shaken I was when I got to my Sons place, I was shaking, became a bit emotional and took an hour or so to settle down enough to ride home to the Sunshine Coast.
So slightly sore back, a bit of bruising around the catheter in my chest where he grabbed me a was shoving me.
The weekend showed the best of people and the worst.
