I'm there, start my annual leave for a month on the 7th March, sometimes you have to love working for the Government (of the day).

Now need to plan which road to travel (not which route to take)

Syd - South Coast - Bega - Snowy Mountains - Thredbo - Ballarat

Cheers

Hi RockyRural,

Duncan or CK and I stayed here on the way back from 2013 Nationals, $30 bucks for a bed, beer cold, and good tucker.  Mick (Publican) was just on his way to Qld to buy a Harley and trailer.

Just food for thought.

Get fuel at the Shell just outside of town to the south/west, a possible public warning.

Cheers

By the time it gets around to WA we gonna need three years to get organised

That's alright- the way some easterners travel it will take them three weeks to get there!   :p
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

The idea is to bring it back two weeks just it is a touch warmer in Ballarat....so all the Westies and northerners don't freeze  :thumb

A lot easier to add a few layers in Ballarat than cross the Nullabor in 40 + degrees.

Having said the above
StinkyPetes idea of trucking bikes to Adelaide and then riding is an interesting one. Air fares Perth/Adelaide can be as low as $160 each way. Cheaper than petrol, uses less holidays (for those members who are still working) and no accommodation costs so it will be interesting to see what trucking prices are.

Trip to this years AGM we had 43 degrees just east of Nundroo and then + 40 around Pt Lincoln so it can just be pot luck.

Sounds like you have it well and truly underway with the organising, well done Marcus, just some dates to put into the memory bank when considering.

Phillip Island World Superbikes 2014 sometime in February – Dates to be arranged.

Adelaide Clipsal 500 – 27th Feb 2014 – 2nd Mar 2014

7th -10th March Ballarat sounds good

 :thumbsup

we have a date! we  could not use the 7th-10th as the accommodation costs on the long weekend went right up around ballarat to the point of looking at near $200 a night for a cabin, we could not justify it, so our apologies there!
