Would anyone consider using this strapless safety helmet?

Shoei full face for me & an RJays full face for Kate respectively. We are Sena 20s fans, so interest in the strapless Voss helments will have to wait until v2.0 is released.  :popcorn

I have a HJC flipface, a Shark Evoline 3 and the latest is a Shoei Neotec . . Like and still use all of these, love the Evoline because on very hot days I can run with it in the open face configuration. The Neotec is a little quieter but I always use earplugs so that noise is not such a problem with any of my helmets.

They are all white of course.

I have had over the years a number of helmets BMW, HJC, ZEUS etc but all these have been passed on to the grandkids who use them to play Starwars . . .

I'm not too worried about cosmetics and yuppy features, as I wear a helmet to protect my head in the unfortunate times I may be forced to part ways with my motorcycle.

The safest helmets usually meet or exceed the current Snell Memorial Foundation testing processes. Many of the helmets that meet the AS1698 requirements are very low grade protection. If the helmet is not Snell Approved, you won't find it on my head.

Do your head and family a favour and choose to wear a Snell Foundation approved helmet.

P.S I also have a full face Shoei, cost me the price of more than two of this one, and that has about the same noise for me, though I do have a little "ringing in the ears" from my early days as a sparky working in textile mills and foundries in the UK. I have been putting the wind noise down to the standard windsheild on the Police ST1100. Had thought of getting another one from David Silver Spares (the one that is 5 inch taller), comes in a fair bit cheaper than the ones made in Thornlie WA (Eagle screens). But I am happy to live with it for now.
I have however noticed quite a bit of difference to wind hitting my delicate hands, after fitting a pair of Honda Wind Deflectors. Well worth the $16 cost.

Fairing or not, I always wear earplugs when going for rides that include 100+ road speeds for any length of time. The turbulence from fairing screens, no matter what brand or design,  definitely makes the ride a bit noisier.
