My new ride is, wait for it, a 2016 Yamaha Super Tenere (ST). I am going to do a bit of dirt road touring and I expect that the Yamaha should be a bit less of a handful in the dirt compared to the ST1300.

Good one, you'll be able to get to a few more places for the 'Where is this' and 'big things' games than the rest of us.

Not sure if it is the same model but I rode a Super Tenere around Japan in 2016.

Hmm. Radical departure from the ST! The drift here seems to be to Beemer tourers or Wings. Still, the Stens are quite popular with the LDR crowd. You'll only be missing the weather protection, but you're tough.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine.
