Title: Having sump problems

Having trouble removing the sump on st 1100  95 ps sump will move side to side but not down all bolts are out but won't budge

Should not. Just check that all the bolts are out, and there is space to drop it out. It could be the gasket sticking, as would feel like a bolt. They probably used a hard assembly gasket goo

If you don't want to force it, I can ask someone with some ST1100 motors out of the frame to have a look.

I've taped knife blades in to cut gasket but at the front some thing seams to be holding it all bolts are out header pipes are off every thing is out of the way

That's the trouble with young blokes.  They waste all their energy on frivolous stuff, and when it comes to important matters like motorcycles, they run out of puff.     :-(((
