I remember a year ago this night, Friday night (although the date was 2 October) my good riding mate and friend, John Nagle "Saaz" lost his battle for life . . . A battle he fought from the very beginning for all of his life and he loved life so much . . A beer judge, a talented motorcyclist, cooked great grilled aubergine, BBQ Ribs and cellared a few great wines.
His knowledge of all things bike was amazing and very helpful to many, many riders.
I still think of him and his company regularly and especially when travelling many of our favourite roads and pubs.
Bless you John, Rest in Peace . . . Safe travels . .

John's sisters are travelling to Canberra to inter John's and Gina's ashes at Norwood Park on Wednesday, 5 October at 10:30. It will be a low-key service at rosebed side. Alice and I will be going to the service followed by a lunch somewhere to share our stories about John.

Was just reading some of his wise words in the ST1100 technical sections and was feeling a bit teary reading it.
Only met him face to face once but he left an indelible mark.

Today Lionel and Alice, myself and members of John and Gina's families interred their ashes at Norwood Park in Canberra . . . A lovely sunny day then we retired to the Old Canberra Inn for wine, beer, good food and discussion about our friends, John and Gina . .

Lovely location. Saaz would appreciate the fact it's even on Streetview.

An unforgettable personality. I had the pleasure of speaking with John exclusively for more than 2 hours at Colac and then over coffees before other members arrived at the Deans Marsh RTA. We enjoyed many laughs. Always remembered.
