Took the leap of faith today....pics taken, measurements made and order form filled out.
Planning a big wandering expedition for later on this year so i'm hoping my bum will be grateful because it will be a long time before my wallet forgives me   :-(((

I don't know ANYONE who has regretted it

This is a no win situation question like asking any Lady her weight,so i will learn to tap dance delicately ....
I note in your costing below you paid for the extra seat suspension but according to the Russell website that is for riders over 230 lbs which i work out to be 104.326kg using a conversion table.
The reason i am curious is that i come in at 1kg under the limit & am now a little unsure what to do - the difference being an extra US$45.
I am curious to find out if anyone lighter than this has ridden with your seat or anyone else's for that matter with the extra suspension and what is their impressions ?

Negative on the spring  ;-* I thought it was recommended for 120Kg and greater  :think1

Something tells me its not a spring just a heavier weighted foam layer added  :think1

From the Russell website:
Heavy-Duty Suspension
In most cases adequate outer buttock support is provided in the standard system for the driver and proper combination of foam densities for the passenger. But for drivers weighing 230 lbs or more and passengers weighing 150lbs or more, the Heavy Duty Suspension is required for adequate support. $45.00 per saddle.

Include the additional charge for each Heavy-Duty Suspension that applies in your order form.
If Heavy-Duty Suspension clearly does not apply, do not include it in your order. Like overload springs on a truck, it will result in too stiff a ride if the weight is not there to make it flex.

I do indeed have the extra suspension due to my extra weight (I'm working on it though and am down from 134kg to 122kg :grin)
As for the extra suspension, I believe when I spoke to them they said it was required for riders over 120 kg.

So as your a lightweight :wink1 get it without :thumbsup

This is for those of you who have, or are considering a Russell Daylong Seat from Russell Cycle Products in the US.   I always envisaged that their production facility would be a big and busy factory, filling orders from all around the world.   Not so!!     Here's a Street View image of their very modest facility.

My Beemer seat is there at the moment.  :runyay

That is interesting. I also would thought it would be a 'significant' facility, being in the USA and all.

Be sure to remind us about that when we all get there.  I'll be in the queue, although my standard seat with an Airhawk under the sheepie is good for 22 hours with 4 x 20 minute breaks.

It looks like you're set, but I got the wide one because it fits the seat, not because my cute butt needs width.  It's the 14" as I recall.
