Just lately, including now, the website pages can take minutes to load.
Not all, and only irregularly.
Postings are the worst.
Checked other sites in tabs of same browser, and they're as fast as ever.
I have fast cable (NBN now to the front door, but not connected yet).

Is it just me?

My speed is OK: home, work, & mobile. Biggles, you might be suffering from "EBKAC".

You probably need to start paying Photobucket.

You either need to pay heaps of cash to Photobucket or find another site to host your pics. You can still use Photobucket for free but unless you pay up you won't be able to use the IMG code to share to sites like ours.

I now use Flickr as I have a Yahoo e-mail address and there a few that don't charge at the moment.

Its not that you need to pay Photobucket, but the problem has been caused by Photobucket.

For many years, Photbuggered hosted the pictures, of people all over the world, all of a sudden they decided to not allow the sharing of pictures by third parties ie OzSTOC unless you pay a huge amount. As a result, howtos trip logs , blogs etc are broken every where.

Its extremely difficult for our members to repair the damage, as most of cant remember all the threads that they have posted pics to, and where if at all, the originals can be found. To recover the pics from photsbebuggered is also not an easy task.

Pain in the butt it is too. Just as well I didn't have to many in the FarRider's site as I've finished updating the links there. Will take a little while on here though.

My malware blockers blocks imgbb links.  Apparently the site has been known to host malware.  I don't know how true that is, but I often get a "page/link was blocked" message when I open this forum.

Just following up on what Chris said ^^ I run an alternative site to photobucket called imghostr http://www.imghostr.net (http://www.imghostr.net) and it will always be free.

imghostr is awesome however it isn't for me :'(
Unfortunately imghostr allows a maximum file size of 2 MB whereas all the photos I take are larger that 2 MB and smaller that 4 MB.

I can resize them all individually however this takes ages when a number of photos need to be uploaded.

Anyway if your photos are smaller that 2 MB each then I would highly recommend imghostr  :thumbsup

I downloaded a program that will allow me to resize images in a batch.  It was called "ImageResizerSetup.exe" although I can't remember exactly where I got it but I do have the original copy here and I can cd-rom if for you if you would like..  It's been flawless.  As for hosting pictures, I do that on a secondary facebook account and store them in the featured photos album.

Possibly.  I know I found it via a windows page and book marked it for that reason as I am reluctant to download from unknown sites, but I can't find the bookmark, hence the offer.   This may have been it.

When I get home I'll check the author of the program.
