Evening All,
                  anyone who uses your iPhone on the bike, and gets annoyed with the long leads, i have found some good shorter leads that match up to the USB ports i put on both Teela's ZZR and my ST1300

Or for a normal phone, Samsung in our case you can get something like I did for my GPS so I don't have heaps of cable hanging loose on my dash shelf.

Streak, you may want to check into the following; it's been reported that with the last update on iPhone's and iPad's an internal extra security measure was triggered by apple making non apple power cords not recognised by apple devices. Apparently there's a chip placed in genuine apple power cords which the apple device recognises when powered up and therefore won't charge the apple device while the device is on and operating.

My iPad and new iPhone stopped charging with non apple cords I had purchased and I have since had to go back to genuine apple cords or lightning Chargers as apple describes them.

It could be a bit of a beat up but as I said mine stopped working and I started to receive the message in the attached link.

thanks for the heads up mate, I gave them a test run when they arrived and they work, but i will do it again just to be sure  :thumb

That's interesting Sabie, I've been using aftermarket chargers for my iPhone in my car, and on the bike for the past 4 years and I've never had a problem. I only have an iPhone 3Gs so it might be different for the newer versions.  I've never felt the need to upgrade from the 3Gs as it does everything I need it to do! :grin

The newer iPhones they have what's called a lightning cable, they put a chip in it to try and stop people selling after market cables, although I have aftermarket cables on both bikes, cars and at home and they work just fine  :thumb
