BEEstY Can-Am F3S Daytona
CamHP my nephew, riding STeph his Kawasaki GPx , and I on BEEstY left Narangba at 8.30ish and went via Mt Glorious, Esk and Toogoolawah so Cameron could get some on road experience. My primary reason to be in Qld this trip is to get on the road for 2 weekends and as many k's as possible whilst CamHP's on his L's.
We arrived a little late at Blackbutt to be met by a good crew and Aragog, Gadgets Can-Am. Aragog parked at one end and BEEstY parked at the other and as Gadget later said " the ST's caught in the Spyders web" after lots of oogling the bikes and us all chatting we headed into the bakery for pies and cakes coffee and other beverages where the chatting continued.
Outside and more chatting we slowly dispersed and headed off in all directions. I continued on with adding the K's to Cams on road experience, a few little rain showers we headed on to Nanango, Goomeri, Kilkivan then Glastonbury road, all of which Cam has travelled since childhood and school Holidays at either Nan's (Mums) place Ellesmere or mine at Nambour and later Glastonbury on the farm. We stopped briefly at the farm then headed to the Palms overnight at another biking friends place.
Sunday saw us leave The Palms, and head into Gympie and then traverse the Mary Valley to Kenilworth, Maleny and down to Woodford then Mt Mee to Dayboro and eventually arrive home at Narangba around 4.30 Sunday.
Cameron got 585k's of on road experience and the chance to meet a number of OzSTOCers, his confidence had improved so I enjoyed seeing him being sensible, safe and cautious on the road in varied conditions, giving me a sense of calm that he wont become a self statistic when he gains yet another class, R, on his license. I also enjoyed the time with friends.
oh I also took Aragog on a short 'round the block' ride. Aragog is a different beast to BEEstY, and its great to see Gadget out on '3' back on the road.
Many thanks to Shiney and the Qld'ers for a another ride to eat in a foreign state.
