Brock I just had the battery load tested by a battery tech and he found it all good.
Might be his miss judgment cause the previous owner said it needs a " good run ".
And I think we all know what that means.

A battery may pass a load test after being charged. You can do this your self at home. Charge the battery over night ( or for 24 hrs on your charger). let the battery sit for an hour or two, then try start the bike while measuring the voltage at the battery with a multimeter. Voltage should be above 10 volts.

Thats more than likely the problem. Remember, the clock is always running. It doesnt use much but it doesnt take much to flatten a dodgy battery.
Some rather low temps this time of the year will make an impact on a battery that's seen better days.

I let mine sit for 10 days from the 5th of July and it started up without an issue. Except for one plug that didn't fire; with rain, some foggy mornings and temps down to 1C overnight I put it down to a little moisture. It's ok now so no drama.

Painting a helmet is not a good idea, as the paint (or the thinners in the paint) may attack the helmet surface
