I knew I had seen one before.  The link takes you to a seller on Ebay, apparently according to his blurb is certified for Australian Standards / use. Maybe he can be contacted for futer info.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Trailer-Coupling-with-Swivel-for-Road-trailer-50-mm-/371187161020?pt=AU_product_Trailer_Parts&hash=item566c7a97bc

I sent him a message asking about compliance IAW VSB1
the hitch doesnt comply, doesnt have all the necessary markings

At the end of the day the answer to your question Bill is in the hitch itself
if you get a pressed metal 50mm ball hitch that is compliant and attach it to a RHS swivel set up I cant see how they could knock you back
so long as the hitch has the markings of load and ADR
Cheers

You get that.....the post was for reference when Winston was looking for ideas for his and I doubt if fitted as new today it would be legal though it does the job it was designed to do.

Test no 2
wind deflectors worked a treat although need a tad of strengthening

rode alot more stable this time with 10 l of water counterbalancing the esky

although that pesky westerly wind let me know i was alive on a couple of occasions

Looks very good . . . Next the sleep/camping test?

Hope you made/kept all the templates so you can go into production of the OZSTOC Camper Trailer?

OK, got some time to add some pics.
Picked up from Blackduck last Sunday.
Got onto the Freeway, accelerated easily still up to 100, set the cruise control and from there barely felt it. Got some strange looks and a few thumbs up from other motorists  :thumbsup

Thanks again Stu,
Enjoy your new toy as well .....
