Calling all Sydney ST owners/wrenchers, or just 1 of you...

G'day,

Made it back home for the second weekend with my ST, had grand plans to take it apart and clean the 5-way to try and fix my FI issue. Of course as my luck would have it after 45 minutes of rooting around trying to do everything properly the first time round, I got to the screws that hold the airbox in and it looks like someone else has already been in there and stripped at least a few out. Apparently a pretty common thing to happen after looking into it a little

I was hoping to get it sorted today so I can ride to Sydney tomorrow for another few weeks work down there.

Is there anyone in Sydney that has the equipment (screw extractors/JIS drivers) and know how that would like to earn a carton or two and help out a bloke in STrife?

On the off chance there is I'd be in Bexley North after 5pm daily but also happy to make the trip wherever needed.

Also if there's anyone that knows a spot I could pick up a JIS driver set as well as a screw extractor set in Sydney I'd be forever grateful.

I had a look at that earlier, should have specified a physical store as I'm not sure if I'll be able to have things sent to the place I'll be staying.

Blackwoods
Trade Tools (possibly only in Brisbane)
Tool Warehouse.

I have, as well as Supercheap, Repco, Autobarn and just about everyone else I could think of. Pretty similar story, they can but it'll take time to get them in.

I think I will just bail on the idea of riding down and hire a car. Guess it will give me time to get in everything I need and do it properly.

Sounds like you might be coming down from the north of Sydney, but you dont say where you are.
A little while back I bought an "impact" JIS screwdriver, so if you are coming down past Forster I can happily lend it to you.
