Thanks for posting it up mate :-++ :-++ :-++

From what I have found playing about with it as much as I have it is an AMAZING bit of gear for such a small price WOW:

Below are my observations so far...

The good things:

:clap * The price
:clap * The speakers have a nice soft cushion over the top and put out some nice sound (When walking around anyway, will need on road testing)
:clap * The controls are easy to operate and are well laid out
:clap * It has built in FM radio
:clap * It can be clamped securely to the helmet or attached via stick on velcro (The clamp is much like the one on the Sena)

The bad things (when compared to something like a Sena:):

:'( * It can't be used while charging
:'( * It has a talk time of only 8 hours as stated in the instructions (which should still cover most longish day rides)
:'( * The clamp has to be undone to remove the unit from the helmet for charging (The back of the unit is used for one side of the clamp)
(This isn't a big issue, it just means the helmet has to come along when you want to charge it up. Or you could use the velcro instead of the clamp)

So that is my observations of the unit on day one :think1 :think1 :think1

All in all it isn't very far behind the major brands, and only about a quarter of the price :eek
I think it'll be a unit I'll be recommending (After a bit more testing anyway) :thumbsup

(Draco will update with road testing results soon :-++)

Cheers

That's a pain in the butt.  There has to be a better way!

BTW.  Love your emoticon bullet point format.     :thumbsup

Toady I had a chance to take Draco's helmet out for a short ride so I could test what the BT-S2 is like.
For the test I rode at the following speeds: (Kph) 40, 60, 70, 80, 100.
(My comparisons are based on my experiences with the Sena 10c, Sena SMH10 and the Scala Rider G4.)

Below are my observations from the ride...

Operating the controls while wearing gloves:

:clap * It is easier to operate then the Scala Rider G4
:clap * I was able to locate all the buttons without issue
:clap * There is a noticeable feeling when pushing in any of the buttons

:'( * It isn't as simple to control as the large jog dial on the Sena.

:clap * The built in radio is easy to control
:clap * The volume controls are easy to find and operate
:clap * When connected to a phone it is as just as good as the other more expensive units

Speakers

:clap * The speakers have a nice soft pad on the top so are nice on the ears
:clap * The sound is clear and easy to understand (Even at 100 kph with as much wind buffeting as I could manage (and with my loud exhaust) I could still hear clearly)

:'( * The MAX volume isn't as loud as the Sena's (although it is still loud enough to hear)

Microphone

:clap * The microphone is THE BEST out of all of the headsets I have used.
 * * * Draco called me when he was out riding and I thought he was just using the phone normally not out on the bike. It is that clear!
(Turns out he was on the bike cruising at 100kph with the screen down and only the visor stopping the wind noise.)
:clap * I had Draco try a few different setups with the screen and the helmet. The only time it wasn't very clear was when he had the screen down and the helmet in open face mode.
(Even in this configuration I was still able to understand what he was saying)
:clap * When I was using the headset I had no issue with the microphone's size or positioning (It's a very similar setup to the Sena)
:clap * When using the headset to talk to Draco he said that he could hear me fine at all speeds without me needing to speak any louder then normal.

So that is my observations of the unit after on road testing :think1 :think1 :think1

This headset is even better than I originally thought :thumbs
The only thing left to test is what how it handles rider to rider communications (and if it is still this good after it's been used for a while)

So far it's a unit I'll be recommending :thumbsup

I don't think so :'( (There might be something in the manual but Draco will have to check that)

I did have a look around on the net but the only thing I found was a good review video (Not mine):

After a long search of different sites, I couldn't find any sort of firmware upgrades, BUT at it's price I'm NOT complaining  :thumbsup :grin ++

This is a short video review of the BT-S2 Bluetooth Intercom Draco purchased recently.

The video is shot using my Sena 10C paired up to the BT-S2 and is unedited to show exactly what it is like.

We did this review while riding around so as to give a nice example of what it is like while out riding.

Hi Draco, how is the unit holding up?  I normally wear earplugs so the extra volume sounds good. Lane and I are thinking about getting a set to talk when we are 2 up.  Can it do multiple pairing (eg. with each other, and with a phone)?  Cheers

The unit has been sold to my brother-in-law (as Draco upgraded to the Sena 10C)

As for how the unit is holding up? The brother-in-law is loving it :thumbsup.

You can pair it to both your phone and each other however it only allows one operation at a time (so it wont play music/operate phone functions while you are talking to each other.)

If you check out the the comments below the YouTube video ( https://youtu.be/X5yhNEmZMFQ ) a number of questions have been answered that may help you decide :thumbs

We have a cheap generic version of BT Interphone http://www.climder.com/2x-climder-c3-motorcycle-helmet-bluetooth-intercom-headset-p-1.html?zenid=5c92148d122dcb1421c76b6f7ade2715 (http://www.climder.com/2x-climder-c3-motorcycle-helmet-bluetooth-intercom-headset-p-1.html?zenid=5c92148d122dcb1421c76b6f7ade2715) which we've had for a couple of years. This one is fairly basic and aimed at rider to pillion but there are others that allow up to six or more riders.

Ours pairs to each other and to our phones and it would also pair to a motorcycle GPS or a media player (a total of three pairings) and it has a built in FM radio which I've never used.

I mainly use the phone for music so providing the Bluetooth on the phone is activated when turning on the intercom it usually connects straight away. To talk to pillion I need to press a button which then cuts the phone out to enable communication to take place but should I get a phone call then it automatically transfers to the phone to receive the call and after hanging up (I get the other party to do that) it returns back.

Not sure if after a phone call that it returns back to rider to pillion but I know that if I'm playing music it continues on after the call.

The only downside is that it's not much good at speeds above about 90k/h but that may be more related to wind noise from the helmet. I think the microphone on Heather's unit has failed (at least in phone mode) as no one can her talk on the phone but it's ok between us.

The one in question in this topic should work in a similar way.
